Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean, and had character.
The Sky tv channels weren't right, it wasn't a big deal though.

Friendly staff that responded well to our complaint with the unit initially assigned to us and offered us a better unit for the night.
Initial unit was shabby, with things that did not work, torn window coverings. From the advertisement we were expecting something rather more upmarket. What we got was old and tired looking. On departure, it took 20 minutes (at 0830) to rouse a staff member to take our money. We left after one night and found alternative accommodation.

First time in this city and this hotel was a great find! The hotel is located just a short walk from the city center, making it super convenient for exploring. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the South African style decor added a unique touch. The beds were incredibly comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom facilities were also top-notch, with good water pressure and continuous hot water flow. The attention to detail was impressive, from the welcome snacks to the helpful restaurant guide provided by the owner. this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of value for money and the level of service provided.
Couldn't find a single flaw, everything was just perfect.

Quality of room, friendly and helpful staff
Room size was very small, should have been stated as hotel room with no cooking facilities, instead was a small double en suite with fridge and microwave, no room for luggage or eating/cooking. But room quality was good and big tv. Enjoyed our stay but got much bigger and better equipped rooms at same price else where.

Great water pressure in the shower and nice touches with decor. Some other motels in Palmerston North have free internet - but did get second voucher for free which was appreciated.
Rooms quite small - felt cramped, no towel rail in bathroom. Internet not included.

I had a great stay in this hotel. The location was perfect for me as it was close to many parks and the beautiful river. the hotel facilities were very clean and had all the bare essentials needed for a comfortable stay. The staff, especially the owner, were very friendly and had excellent communication. The free parking was a huge plus for me, and I loved the fact that I could walk to the city centre and to my family's place.
All was good.

Very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen
I don't like the security compromise of the windows being opened, and left open when you're not at the Motel. I've stayed at the Motel on 3 occassions now and each time the windows have been left open while all your personal gear is in the room.

The people are very nice and very accommodating.
It was a little noisy, which isn't the fault of the owners, but a group of people were outside partying until 2AM, and it made it hard to sleep.
